Dick Cheney
The future vice president of the United States was captain of the football team at Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming, where, as one biography recounts, he played "tough." He graduated in 1959 and went on to flunk out of Yale. Later he racked up a bunch of draft deferments, a couple of DUIs and five heart attacks. But most historians agree that Cheney's crowning achievement in public life is his shooting hunting buddy Harry Whittington in the face in 2006.
